Chai from the Motherland

We’re starting out the new year with a special interview-in-reverse. Katrina Ávila Munichiello, senior editor of Tea Magazine, requested an interview with Manish about chai, the spiced tea latté that he brought from the motherlands to the palates of American drinkers. This week, Lisa and Manish share that interview with listeners in a spicy new show.

Manish describes to Katrina the very first chai blend that he offered at a small farmers’ market table in Tucson, Arizona. He still blends the same version today: Original Black Chai.
